Internship Report by Luis David Almeida Famada

On Tuesday, January 23rd at 12:00 a.m. Luis David Almeida Famada will present his internship report at DLR ” “Land Use and Resource Management”
Hosting Institution: DLR – Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt
Supervisors: Dr. Soner Üreyen, Deutsches Luft- und Raumfahrtzentrum (DLR), Dr. Maninder Singh Dillon, Department of Remote Sensing
From the abstract: This presentation outlines my experiences during an internship with the DLR in Land Use and Resource Management. For example, the Eco-Aral Project entailed utilizing the Google Engine for land cover classification and improving code to analyze the carrying capacities of grasslands. Additionally, Python programming was used to determine the sizes of annually irrigated areas through classifications. The Aquaculture Dynamics project involved an extensive literature review, graphical analysis, and report writing using credible sources such as Web Science. This internship enabled me to appreciate how geospatial technology can analyze data and tackle environmental challenges.
