Innovation Lab Presentation by Konstantin Müller

On Tuesday, July 18 at 11 a.m. Konstantin Müller will hold his Innovation Lab Presentation “Analysis of Twitter over New Year’s Eve”

From the abstract:
Until this day, scientists have figured out urban data and structures as morphological or topological characteristics and mapped them in many different scenarios. However, the understanding of social processes lacks behind. Crucially we think that in order to fully understand urban structures and connections, the social-economic argument is as big as the physically structural ones. This Innovation lab focuses on the workflow with social data (Twitter data) from the end of 2022 to the beginning of 2023 around the location of NYC. We especially investigate the fact that the range of time in which we harvested the tweets is over New Year’s Eve and other important days like Christmas or Thanksgiving. As over this period of time, people get very expressive, we can see such dynamics also on the social medium of Twitter.
