After the official welcome by all lecturer and the study program coordinator Christopher Conrad and the head of the remote sensing department and director of the DLR-DFD, Stefan Dech, all EAGLE members met for a joint dinner to get to know each other.

The lectures started on the next day with the introduction to remote sensing by Claudia Kuenzer, head of the landsurface department at the German Aerospace Data Center. In the next weeks more in-depth courses on methods and applications will be offered.
