Aim

The excursion to the Earth Observation Center of the German Aerospace Center in Munich aims to outline the diversity of current remote sensing activities and the potential for internships and M.Sc. topics.

Content

During the excursion to the DLR-EOC various thematic topics will be presented and discussed with the attendees such as land cover mapping, vegetation and soil content analysis, disaster mapping or urban sprawl. Moreover, various visits of the “crisis information center”, the ISS control station or the Galileo control station are providing a wide overview of space borne activities with a specific focus on the potential of earth observation activities.
