Internship Networking event

Our EAGLEs have to conduct two internship and like to do them in quite diverse fields. Their research interests range from dry ecosystems to mountains, from conservation to agriculture, from the Arctic to Africa and from Earth Observation companies to large research organisations.
Our internship event provides the professional network of our lecturers and scientists at EORC to our students. For more than one hour our students talked to all colleagues and approached especially the ones that matched their research interests. Many opportunities were discussed from urban research in South East Asia up to geomorphology research in Alaska. These initial discussions will be followed up in order to actually establish contacts with colleagues abroad where our students could do their internship.
Of course some students also took the opportunity to discuss Msc thesis ideas, as well a general considerations for a stay abroad.
We aim to offer such events on a regular interval, at least once for each generation of students.
