About
Hannes leads the team “City and Society” at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). With his team he focuses on the development of methods and applications in the field of urban remote sensing. The works rank from classification approaches to studies on validation to geographical applications. Recently multidisciplinary research became a focus aiming to systematically apply earth observation data for new notions in urban geography. He has more than 10 years experience in urban remote sensing documented by more than 70 peer-reviewed journal publications and 2 book publications.
