Ariane Droin is a PhD student and Lecturer at the Earth-Observation Research Cluster at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. She holds two Master of Science degrees from the University of Graz, Austria: one in “Geospatial Technologies” and another in “Applied Physical Geography and Mountain Research”. Her current research focuses on the influence of urban structure on the walkability of local neighbourhoods. Ariane is highly motivated by the potential of being able to use geospatial data on a large scale and the possibility to encourage a more sustainable environment.
