About
Tobias is physical geographer and professor at the Department of Remote Sensing of the University of Würzburg. His research interests focus on the analysis of land surface dynamics in arid regions by means of radar remote sensing (SAR), the application of digital elevation models (DEM) for terrain analysis and hydrographic modelling and the utilization of remote sensing imagery and geophysical surveying in (geo-)archaeological research.
